This is a photo of our tutor team walking to Gilbert Linkous Elementary School for our first session on 9/30/22!
Today, we worked with our assigned kids and taught them how to brainstorm characters and story plots. Then, we created a timeline map together, showing the journeys their characters would embark upon throughout their stories! It was really exciting to meet them and begin working with such creative and energetic people.

It was awesome to see the excitement that all the kids showed during our first steps. I was pleasantly surprised when my student already had so many ideas in the works. Cant wait for the next session!
I’ve really enjoyed working with the students to write their books. It’s a really unique opportunity that I wish I had had when I was their age.
I’m so impressed by all of our inventive and creative students! I can’t wait for our future sessions and for the incredible stories they create.
