Today we'll be featuring tutor Zavier and student Annie! "My student Annie must be the most talented artist I have ever seen at her age. She’s doing all the illustrations for her book which is about a kitty getting lost in the woods who learns to not stray too far from her parents. Along the way she meets Max the Dog and finds pretty flowers," Zavier said.
When asking Annie what her favorite part about writing a book was, she said:
“Basically everything! I like brainstorming
and drawing the pictures and typing.”
Here are some words from Zavier about his experience with Kids Can Write:
"Funny story, I joined this program by accident. Elea posted a flyer in one of our GroupMe's and I thought it looked like a good experience. I’m so glad that I went to that first meeting because Kids Can Write has been amazing!
Every instructor is invested in their kid's story and guiding them along through the steps. That doesn’t even cover how creative and intelligent these kids are!
Annie has been on top of her homework and her story throughout this whole process. She hits all the milestones before we even reveal the next step.
It has been wonderful to teach her, and I have no doubt she will take her creativity and artistic skills far."
Our Program Concluding Ceremony is only five weeks away! We need all the help we can get to make it the best it can be and celebrate, recognize, and appreciate all of our students the way they deserve to be!
